A youth musical jam session! Bring your own instrument (and any power supply/batteries and such) and let’s start making some music! We have an electric piano and a full drum-set on hand. This is an informal, fun way to make music together. Led by Program Coordinator, Laura.

This is not an instructional session; participants should have some skill with their chosen instrument(s).

For ages 10-17. No need to sign up, just come by!

Mar 07   Upstairs at Murray's: Kiese Laymon - A Fundraiser for Tivoli Free Library
Join us and Oblong Books for a fundraiser benefiting the Tivoli Free Library with author, Kiese Laymon. It will happen upstairs in the Sanctuary at Murray's, located at 73 Broadway, Tivoli, NY 12583. This event is hosted by Oblong Books in collaboration with Murray's, as well as additional marketing and promotional support provided by Bard Written Arts.

A percentage of ticket sales and book sales at this event will be donated to support Tivoli Free Library.

Tickets: $17.00 – available online: - Includes one paperback copy of HEAVY: An American Memoir.

Mar 19   BeTWEEN the Pages: Youth Book Club of Tivoli: The Unbreakable Code by Jennifer Chambliss Bertman
Are you a pre-teen who likes to read? Are you excited to talk to people about what you have read and learned? Then check out our young adult book club. Snacks will be on hand. Led by Program Coordinator, Laura.

This month's title: The Unbreakable Code by Jennifer Chambliss Bertman

Mr. Quisling is definitely up to something mysterious, and Emily and James are on high alert. First, there's the coded note he drops at a book event. Then Emily and James uncover a trail of encrypted messages in books by Mark Twain hidden through Book Scavenger. What is most suspicious is that each hidden book triggers an arson. Part two in a series.

Free. Ages: 9-14. Happens on the third Tuesday of each month in the East Room. Contact library to order title.
